Fetch-ai

A Protocol for Automating Tasks with AI,

Note: The page’s title Fetch-ai should have been Fetch.ai,
but WordPress pages doesn’t seem to like periods in it’s title.

What is Fetch.ai ?

  1. Fetch.ai is a blockchain based artificial intelligence protocol that aims to power the new digital economy
  2. It allows people to create software agents that automate tasks on behalf of their owners.
  3. The agents work as a network of independent parties.
    • To perform their tasks, they connect and negotiate with one another.
  4. The process of agents finding, negotiating, and interacting with one another is all automated, and requires no user input.
  5. Any resulting agreements between agents are then processed on the Fetch.ai blockchain.
  6. Anyone can create their own custom agent
    • and then earn rewards for providing services
    • like trading, data retrieval, and more.

What is the FET token ?

  1. FET is the native token of the Fetch blockchain.
    • It’s the main medium of exchange used in the protocol.
  2. FET tokens are required to pay for transactions and network operations, and can be used to pay agents for providing services.
  3. FET is also required to deploy new agents on the network and pay for their operations.
  4. Users who run their own software agents with Fetch.ai can begin generating rewards for the services that they provide.
  5. Users can also contribute to network security by staking their FET in order to receive rewards.
  6. People who stake FET tokens may also be eligible for future Stake Drops – distributions of new projects’ tokens as they are launched.

The Future of Fetch.ai

  1. Fetch 2.0 went live in Q1 2021 with security and usability upgrades scheduled throughout late 2021 and early 2022.
  2. As an autonomous machine-to-machine ecosystem,
    • Fetch.ai allows businesses and individuals to interact with each other directly.
  3. This requires the need for intermediaries – reducing costs and freeing up resources for further development.
  4. Today, the protocol is already being implemented by DeFi, Mobility, Supply Chain, and Travel Management solutions.
  5. Fetch.ai is increasingly attracting development from third-party teams, with cross-chain compatibility scheduled for Q4 2021.
  6. The Fetch team hopes to continue to develope the protocol to adress issues faced in DeFi automation, mobility, healthcare, and travel.
