  • Probably the most used tool in Photoshop

• If you have an unlocked layer, you can drag your entire image around the canvas

Outboard Tool

  • a feature brought over from Illustrator.
• click and drag on your canvas, creates a square/rectangle containing a part of your image,
  • displays its size, width and height, as pixels.
    • while its size is growing
  • when you let go of the cursor, the rest of the original image is disregarded
• it made a new artboard and names it “Artboard 1”
• you can make many artboards on your canvas by clicking those plus sign buttons
• the point of having many artboards
  • is to have different designs or photos on the same canvas
  • you have one photoshop file and
    • you can have all kinds of different comps in that photoshop file
    • the different artboards
      • are listed by name in the “Layers” tab and panel on the right
      • as he deletes them, their name disappears from the panel
    • This can be very handy if your doing multiple variations on the same project.
